Even before this came out I found him obnoxious, how he would try so hard to look benevolent and wise. Just months before the scandal came out he was on Arsineo Hall's revival show, and the way Hall was grovelling and listening with awe was sickening, like he was a frickin guru and held the secrets to all knowledge. He spoke for minutes and literally said almost nothing, pious mumbo jumbo, and they thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. The guys a con artist, nothing more. -

Another LDS "apostate"
by neat blue dog inhttps://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2018/09/24/us/mormon-young-excommunicated/index.html.
while the details of this 'mormon' "apostate's" grievances are pretty tame compared to jws, there are some similarities.
however in one aspect the lds we're better than jws.. "the issue is not that you have concerns -- or even that you disagree with the church's guidelines, rather it is your persistent, aggressive effort to persuade others to your point of view by repeatedly and deliberately attacking and publicly opposing the church and its leaders," the church's excommunication edict says.. notice it was okay for him to disagree and even talk about his differences, just not oppose the leadership to the degree he was.

Further Proof of The Last Days
by neat blue dog injust when you think you've heard it all:.
'look at all these stores and businesses offering price matching!
they're desperate for funds.

Yes they're 100% real, otherwise it would be posted in the "jokes and humor" section. Lol

Just when you think you've heard it all:
'Look at all these stores and businesses offering price matching! They're desperate for funds. The whole thing's gonna collapse. We're getting close!'
Here's another hot one:
'Look at that car that crashed into the telephone pole! We can expect more of that in these last days.'
Scraping the bottom of the barrel, are we?

Saw homemade "Cart art" and murmurs about cart working yesterday. To old to do cart work?
by caves inyesterday i parked at a rest stop for a bit and there were 2 ladys at a cart.
the cart sign was hand painted.
that was odd to me.

Some of the new cart art designs are simplistic, blocky renderings of previous artwork, (edited in the computer to look that way) and could be mistaken for crude artwork. Just a guess.

You're in the Army Now: Jehovah's Witnesses No Longer Exempt From Finnish Draft
by Tahoe inhttps://sputniknews.com/europe/201809211068220658-finland-jehovah-witnesses-army/.
the finnish government has ruled that the current law allowing jehovah's witnesses to avoid military service, in place for several decades, is discriminatory and contradicts the constitution.. .
in the future, finnish jehovah's witnesses* will be obliged to either serve in the nation's military or perform civil service on the same terms as everyone else, the government ruled, submitting a corresponding proposal to parliament, national broadcaster yle reported.. according to the 1987 law, jehovah's witnesses were not only freed from the military draft, they were freed of any obligation to perform community service as a pacifist alternative, a common option among other young people in finland.

Avoiding government service is un-Christian. Jesus said 'if someone puts you into service for a mile, go two miles'. Joseph, Daniel, Mordecai, Cornelius and others held different government and law enforcement positions. To refuse even alternative service is not only wrong according to their own Bible, it's contradictory and patently absurd! They quietly reversed that rule years ago, but not before many suffered for it. (Similar to Malawi and elsewhere.)

Here's another subtle reverse-witnessing topic:
by neat blue dog inthe next time a jw brings up a natural disaster or severe weather event as proof of the last days, and they preface it by reciting a fact they heard on the news like, (just for the sake of example) 'it's the worst earthquake in 70 years' or 'the worst plague in 200' years', (you get the picture), then simply reply: "oh, so that means that ____ years ago there was one that was worse, right?".
i did this twice.
both times got the same response:.

Funny how government attacks on churches is 'turning on false religion', while government attacks on them personally is "persecution".
"now it starts" lol, they said that almost 20 years ago when the Catholic Church was in the news for child molestation, (guess they didn't know it was coming their way too in a year or two).

(since 1880) 17 of those years have been in this century. Its not evidence for the last days of course but its surely grounds for some conclusions to form.
My conclusion would be that before that year temperatures weren't recorded as accurately or regularly, similarly to how autism rates have 'gone up' due to diagnosis alone, even of very subtle spectrums.
Nothing wrong Disagreeing. After all, most of us here are cult victims and now we enjoy the freedom of free speech.
Amen.
